Melbourne Citymission Partnership

MICM Property is proud to announce its charity partnership with Melbourne Citymission, in particular the Melbourne Citymission Academy program. The Academy program has been established in line with the Melbourne City Mission vision  to educate every young person who is disadvantaged in the heart of Melbourne. The program will deliver educational programs to some of Melbourne’s most disengaged students.

Part of MICM Property’s involvement with the Academy was to provide funding for 7 new Apple Mac computers for the brand new classroom at King Street. The classroom has been created to be a relaxed adult environment; the new programs run from this space will offer vocational training for young people. Current programs included in the Academy are the It is only theEnglish version that is the legal basis of the relationship between you and the Casino ; and in case of any discrepancy between a non-English version and theEnglish version of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shallprevail. Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning offering certificates in music and media industries, general education, job readiness and community services, as well as Wheels, a pre-employment program.

Additionally MICM Property’s  staff have held workshops with the Melbourne City Mission students on “How to rent a property”, these workshops explained to the students their rights and responsibilities as a tenant as well as outlining what a landlord expects from their tenants. The staff enjoyed sharing their knowledge and the opportunity to  help the students understand more about renting a property. There are more sessions in the pipeline for the new year.

Long term, it is envisaged that the Academy will provide educational support to young people from the age of 15 years and right throughout their lifetime journey of education. MICM Property will be continually supporting the program in the new year.
